Hyundai is now offering the Blue Link feature on the 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Blue Link offers more than 30 different connectivity features and safety services, available in three different packages:
Assurance: Allows drivers to contact emergency and/or road side assistance specialists with the push of a button. In addition, if a collision with an air-bag deployment occurs, the system can automatically establish contact with a trained response specialist.
Essentials: This feature functions as a remote door lock/unlock, remote horn/lights activation and remote start. This feature also includes hands-free text messaging and location sharing.
Guidance: Turn-by-turn directions for vehicles without a navigation system, traffic and weather data, gas station locations as well as fuel prices. This feature also includes Eco-Coach service that monitors and reports on a driver's fuel use and emissions to help coach more efficient driving.
Hyundai will eventually offer Blue Link to the majority of it's line-up by 2013. To help introduce Blue Link to customers, Hyundai will offer complimentary assurance services for 6 months and free Essentials and Guidance for 3 months. And if the custom decides to renew service within 30 days of purchase, the complimentary subscription with extend to a full year for Assurance and six months each for Essentials and Guidance.
